SYNOPSIS
Vasily, a taxi driver, and his family live on the edge of poverty — until one night, in desperation, Vasily rebukes the Heavens: “Is this the best you can do?”
On the drive home, he sees his life from the outside: the past, when his dream of becoming an architect felt real, and a future confined to the four rooms of a worn-out apartment.
Sinking into memories, Vasily returns to his youth, when, on the road to an extraterrestrial Monolith, he met his wife.
